Richie Hardcore

With an academic background in Political Science and Spanish and a former multiple champion Muay Thai fighter, Richie now works as a coach, personal trainer and public speaker. Formerly a board member at Rape Prevention Education and now at White Ribbon New Zealand and a White Ribbon Ambassador, and an “It’s Not Ok” Campaign champion, he’s a been involved in a range of other Government funded and not for profit initiatives and projects aimed at ending family and sexual violence.

He regularly speaks in schools in New Zealand about, sex consent and challenging traditional notions of masculinity. Having worked for many years as a youth alcohol and drug worker, and as a sometime radio host on NewsTalk ZB’s ‘The Nutters Club’ a mental health focused radio show, Richie has found himself as an advocate for fresh approaches to how we deal with both mental health and drug issues in our society.
